Headed to pastor James Jenny Lyn’s wedding shower # Neck deep into grammar, syntax, commentaries and meditation on Zeph 1:2-13. I’m deeply convicted already. # Ok still not done with Zephaniah, but time to take the wild one’s out for a walk. # Done for the evening. A bit more to finish up very early tomorrow morning. # Up and somewhat at’em this morning. Preaching twice today, so lots to pray about and a few things to finish preparing for. # Enjoyed preaching at Valle Vista Baptist this morning. Now to do a little prep for tonight’s sermon in Zephaniah and then a finance meeting. # Preacher went WAY long tonight. Thank goodness the ice cream for the fellowship afterward did not melt. Now to bed. # With such an early start and late finish yesterday, I’m running a bit late today. Oh well, begining the day in prayer and the word. # Just finished nice date night with Kelly playing golf I won’t say who won # Reading through the headlines and now to the word, prayer, and a little Sibbes. # Headed to the gym # It’s an admin day- a glorious admin day. Working through piles of e-mail right now-actually some fun stuff. # I’m headed home I’m through with administration for today # Family time # Fun time with the fam. I’m beat-time to kick back. Just made it home from a very productive planning retreat-no Twitter and hardly any e-mail or phone for 2 days. No wonder it was productive. # Getting my mind around the day-preparing my heart. Looking forward to the fellowship. # Great morning with the saints, great lunch and nap with the fam. Time to plan the week and prep for tonight’s sermon on Zephaniah. # Home from an evening of worship and fellowship. Had an ice cream fellowship afterwards: one of the joys of Sunday nights in the summer. # Enjoying a quiet morning thinking through the word-praying through its implications. # Had a wonderful night out with Kel, relaxing and great conversation-very blessed man I am. # Up to read the word, pray through it and begin reading Richard Dibbes, “The Bruised Reed.” # Wonderful dinner in Beaumont with some of Kel’s family. Now to put members of my family to bed soon. # Just ran through the headlines and now ready to think on the subject of Baptism for tonight’s Baptist Theology class. # Up to pray, read some Sibbes and then head to the office for what looks to be a full and demanding day of ministry. Bring it on! # Just finished a really long, fruitful and draining day of ministry. I’m very ready for a day off tomorrow. # Dad’s day out with the girls. Waiting for an appt.-looks like a no-show-then off for a day of foster parenting training. Have to have 15 hours a year-finished today. # At a training for foster parent certification hours. All day event. One saving grace, we will have all our hours finished for the year. # Just made it home from our foster training day. Nice to be done not only with today’s class, but the year’s required training hours. # Pushing along a sluggish heart and mind, thankful for and relying upon His grace. # RT @JohnPiper: 40 years ago today THE MOON WAS ADDED TO ALL THINGS. “You have put all things under his feet” (Psalms 8:6). # Time to think through 2 Chronicles and pray. Enjoying a gorgeous morning. Thanking God for our country. Praying for the spread of the gospel and the health of the churches. # Been a busy day of prep for tomorrow. Enjoyed a break with the Gehrings, Fewells & Peters. Paul’s ribs are outstanding!! # I hear the fireworks (2nd night) but I’m too tired to stay up. I’ll be thanking the Lord for our freedom as my head hits the pillow. # Preparing for the day-prayer, the word then getting my heart around all of my responsibilities for the day. # Headed to gather with the saints. # Enjoyable fellowship with God’s people this morning. Time for som of Paul Fewell’s famous BBQ ribs-he sent us home with some yesterday. # Prepping for the evening service. Gotta get to bed. Up far later than I like for a Saturday. Thankful for one morning service. # Finalizing prep for the day-first to dwell on the psalms and prep my heart. The Lord’s lovingkindness is everlasting. # Off to gather with God’s people-praying it will be a significant day of sanctification. # Left our worship a bit early to assist a brother pastor in a difficult situation in his fellowship.
